This painting depicts designs associated with the rockhole and soakage water site of Marrapinti, situated in a creek, west of the Pollock Hills of Western Australia. A group of women of the Nangala and Napangati kinship subsections, represented by the 'U' shapes, camped at this site. The women gathered the Ipalu (bush banana) fruit which was growing in the vicinity of the site. The design through the centre of the work represents the vine on which the fruit grows.
